A Quality Education in a Christian Environment

Preschool and Pre-K
Ages 1-3,  4 and 5

Growing God's Kingdom

At Bethel Christian Academy, we understand that the first five years of a child's life are the most important. Offering children numerous learning options combined with a Christ centered environment, gives children a strong foundation in life. Our staff enjoys helping parents navigate through those first years.

Learning Together

Daily lessons and activities are comprised of counting, letter of the day, shape of the day and color of the day, crafting, dress up/role play.  Music with hand or dance motions. Organized learning centers include, reading corner,

science tables, house keeping/kitchen, handwriting, art, and sensory.

* Pre-K lessons may also incorporate the Pledge of Allegiance,

first steps in tying shoes, and common traffic signs.

"There is a time for many words, and there is also a time for sleep" — Homer

We promote safe sleep habits and have a designated rest time in the afternoons, where children are encouraged to relax with the aid of guided storytelling or christian audio books for soothing.

Children are provided an age appropriate cot, and can bring their favorite blanket from home.

A Well Fed Soul

We serve one morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack.

Snacks consist of one fruit, a whole grain item, milk or 100% juice.

Weekly meal calendars are posted in each classroom, as well as our Lunch Room and Parent Board in the hallway. Diet restrictions and accommodations are discussed and reviewed on a case by case basis.

*BCA is not required to follow state guidelines for school nutrition. However, we do maintain a healthy, balanced meal plan

Son-Shine & Play Time

We are blessed to have a beautiful gymnasium, located in our Grade School.
On rainy or colder days, our kids love visiting the 'Big School' for fun exercise and games, indoors.

Swings, slides, playhouses, and sand tables make outside time fun and enjoyable. Our softball field also provides a wonderful space for class water games and additional unstructured play time.

Gym time and/or outdoor play is offered daily to all age groups.

Growing Together

Daily sheets are sent home with each child. These sheets keep parents up to date with their child's social and academic growth, as well as behavior in the classroom.
These also provide parents with a list of essential items their children may be missing or need replacing; such as wipes, diapers/pull ups, or changes of clothes.

This small form of communication ensures that both parents and teachers work as a unit in the rearing of our littlest blessings.

It's Potty Time!

Potty training can be a stressful time with both parents and children. Combined with school, can make it seem almost impossible.

Our staff encourages ongoing potty training efforts for younger children. And assists children with appropriate toileting needs.  Including instruction in hand washing and restroom etiquette.
